I know you guys are joking around (I hope) but it makes me cringe when black people label themselves as "light skin." It's as if they want to separate themselves from being, well, BLACK.
As if being "light skin" is a ethnicity within it self. I'm black and I have a very fair skin tone but I would never define myself as being "light skin" -- such a ridiculous term. It further separates the black community. They even have club events where they have "light skin nights" which means only fair skin people get in. Then "dark skin night" the following day for those with a darker complexion.
Sorry for the rant. But, yeah.
