In the US it sold more than both of Ciara's last efforts combined multiplied by 4.... So you REALLY need to have one of several _/ _/ _/

My post was not pointless. **** I could be a Keri Hilson stan for all I care, my point remains strong and factual. We're discussing the 4 era and Beyonce stans are now coming up with every possible excuse as to why it flopped, to her standards. Bringing Ciara into this, does not prove your point or bring purpose to your statement. Because just as much as you can shade Ciara, I can shade Beyonce.

4 was ahead of its time in the sense that if songs like LOT & CD were released "today", they would have smashed harder.

DEATH at the hive claiming that the "4" era wasn't about the single. We could all see the thirst in her trying to get a hit single. DEATH AGAIN at the hive claiming that the "4" era was ahead of it's time. Not one song on that album is ahead of it's time.

Sis I love Cici and everything and I respect you as you stand up for your fave but the comparison here is non existent.
Anyway if she was really thirsty she wouldn't have released 5 videos at once cause, as a business woman, she knows damn well that wouldn't have led to something.
Actually the only 3 singles she had were RTW, BTINH and LOT. The others were radio only/ promo purposes / urban radio.

What's frightening is the fact that this is true.
Anyhow, Ciara stan, you're posting many untruths about the 4 era.
4 started badly due to the wrong single choice and then had a rushed period due to her pregnancy and resulting inability to perform.
Making up all these reasons for 4 flopping is ridiculous when it's 'underperformance' is purely a result of mismanagement and ill-timed promo.

Thing is they gotta tell me how an album selling 2.5 M WW is underperforming when their fave is hardly selling 100k in their homeland.

As long as I am member of this forum, I believe I do
What possible song from "4" would have smashed today?
Her album was not marketed correctly and the sound 4 had is too dated for todays market. Love on Top could of possibly done better today but other than that, I don't see how any songs from 4 were ahead of their time.
Beyonce should of kept that album or at least market the singles correctly, because everything was a mess.

It really wasn't.
We all know the era was a little sloppy, but it hasn't hindered her in way
Her touring power is fine
Her media presence is fine
Her overall career is fine
And with Billboard's new rule changes the singles will obviously perform better.
You were just being extra and it backfired on you.

I mean "Schooling Life" "1 + 1" and "Dance For You" were cute, but "Schooling Life" was her only hope into crossing over pop mainstream.

Ignore the hives this forum is for people who have OPINIONS and fanbases like the hives think their opinions and information are factual when 90% of the time they're actually fictional. You have a right to say you're own opinion on this forum even if your fave is booking gigs and walmart
and again the hives delusion saying 4 was ahead of its time, it sounded dated when it was released in 2011 if 4 were to be released now it would've underperformed even more.
And yes you're right the 4 era was a mess, but yet the hives keep making excuses for it.

Wut?
End Of Time, Love On Top, even Start Over, could have been successful with the right treatment. And there are others. 4 had solid material, unfortunately most of it remained as album tracks.

have we not noticed today's music climate? We have songs like Suit & Tie & Blurred Lines doing well.
I bet you know all about not marketing singles correctly and things being a mess

Of course her touring power is fine, of course her media presence is fine, blah blah blah. Did I mention any of those things. We're talking about the release of 4.
Nothing has backfired on me, just because a couple of Beyhive members are trying to come for my wig. I think the reason yall are mad is because I'm a Ciara stan and you feel like I have no say. Yet I'm still here discussing my point and proving it.

I almost forgot about End of Time. End of time was cute, but it didn't have a radio single presence. It's more of an arena performance kind of song.
Schooling life, had an actual catchy verse and chorus. Kind of like "Standing on the Sun". Something that's refreshing, and something that doesn't involve her talking about how girls rule the world and how her ex are going to regret blah blah blah. That stuff is getting tired. Which is why she should leave that "Grown Woman" single alone. She needs more stuff like "Standing on the sun" and "Schooling Life"

1. I ain't mad at all.
2. I stan for Nicole Scherzinger so that says it all - I should have no say in marketing strategies.
3. I think that, harsher or more polite ways, us from the Hive are not making excuses, we're just stating pretty objective points that shows Bey's point of view and reasons for the underperformance of the singles which, to be honest, ain't that even hard considering the three official singles were all top 30. Yes, nothing compared to IASF, but still people remember them.

Just stop pls, End of Time wasn't a single, she abandoned the era from Run the world performance on billboard because she was pregnant, did anybody even watch that Life is but a dream doc?
Anyways the receipts are out there
