Rihanna has been changing the game since '05. I really do not see how you can compare millions of albums sold, countless sold out tours, and multiple number 1 singles to a chick that JUST
became relevant a few years ago is already back to being a non-factor. You can spin it whatever way makes your boat float but at the end of the day Gaga is irrelevant and no amount of inflated sales, popping out of eggs onstage or tacky wigs is going to revive ha.

I guess it depends on where you're from because I hear more Rihanna songs than Gaga's nowadays. Plus, if Gaga's songs were more memorable, wouldn't they be selling better than Rihanna's on iTunes and have better recurrent airplay?

Rihanna, duh.
Her biggest feature alone is more memorable than Gaga's entire discography.

Time magazine polls are automatically irrelevant since they're open polls and all her stans do is hop online and out-vote people that actually deserve to win those titles. It isn't as though her actual peers got together and decided that she is in fact the most influential celebrity of the last decade.
Time could put up a post asking voters to decide between Denzel Washington and Gaga for most influential black actor of the last decade and her deranged stans would make sure that she came out on top. Next.

Hmm...I wonder why Gaga hasn't done "anything worth mentioning". Maybe it's because ARTPOP isn't fully finished (Gaga actually puts work into her albums). Maybe it's because she got a serious injury. Maybe it's because she had to have surgery. OR maybe it's because the injury forced her to cancel the remainder of her tour. Please educate me on how Gaga grossed more than Rih with a tour that didn't even get to conclude? I thought BTW was a flop era.

Connecting your Ipod to your car radio doesn't count.

Gaga, easily.
Though, I am surprised she's winning this poll. Because not only are the real Rihanna fans voting, but, the faux ones, too!

Too much irony in this post. faux stanning, really?

Hide small countries and you'll see that none of her songs are charting in any major market. The definition of forgotten hits.
Whereas for Rihanna, ALL her old songs are charting in a lot of major markets.

Lemme re-adjust that for you:
Rihanna has been following trends since '05. I really do not see how you can compare millions of mediocre album sales across seven albums, countless tours that didn't cross $100 million in gross, and multiple #1 singles in which some were features to a chick that JUST became relevant a few years ago and is lying low because she's on break. You can spin it whatever way makes your boat float but at the end of the day Gaga has made more of an impact with her million of records sold, popping out of iconic eggs and memorable performances, and wearing fab wigs.

I mean come on y'all. Use your brains

but doesn't that mean it hinders her song from actually being memorable because she's constantly releasing and the newer songs are constantly being played over the old one

When you have current music your old singles increase in sales, airplay, views, during the Born This Way era Just Dance, Poker Face & Bad Romance were always in the Top 150 of iTunes (I remember Poker Face and Just Dance were Top 50 back in January 2011) can't say the same for Rihanna old singles..Gaga hasn't released anything in 2 years the last time Rihanna waited for so long to released something she flopped (1.5 years?)

Except Rih stans are bringing up current airplay which makes no sense since Rihanna is in the middle of an era and Gaga hasn't released since 2011.

Sounds like an excuse to me. I'm sure you can find several examples of artists who haven't released anything in years, yet they have songs that are charting higher than Gaga's. It's cute that the monsters and those who are against Rihanna and the Navy for whatever reasons are teaming up, but my vote is going to Rihanna.

can you take an opinion? I like more her mid size hits and album tracks than her biggest hits...
for example, Alejandro, Paparazzi, TEOG >>>>>>>>>> PF, JD and BR

You mean like how Brit and Rih stans team up in Beyoncé threads? Don't throw stones when you're living in a glass house, sis.
