It Must Be Magic is the fourth studio album by Teena Marie, released in 1981. It was her last album for Motown and the highest-selling of Marie's tenure with Motown. Like Irons in the Fire, it was fully written and produced by Marie herself, and received a positive critical reception.
Well the only song I've heard from this album is "Square Biz." It's a great song and I hear it a good amount on recurrent radio.
After the band's original vocalist Dave Conway left in 1987, to be replaced by Bilinda Butcher, the band continued for a while in their previous noisy indie-pop style before Kevin Shields returned to their avant-garde roots, and began to explore the possibilities offered by the studio facilities available after signing to Creation Records in 1988. The first fruits of this experimentation was the single/EP "You Made Me Realise", released in July 1988, with Isn't Anything following later that year. Most of the album was recorded in a studio in Wales. While recording the album over a period of two weeks, the band got by on about two hours sleep a night. Bilinda Butcher described the effect of this on her vocals: "Often, when we do the vocals, it's 7:30 in the morning: I've usually fallen asleep and have to be woken up to sing. Maybe that's why it's languorous. I'm usually trying to remember what I've been dreaming about when I'm singing."
I almost considered putting this album on, but honestly I feel like they've topped this album by a good amount with all their other releases. It's good though.
Enjoy Yourself is the second album by Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue. It was released by PWL on 9 October 1989. The album was produced and written by Stock Aitken Waterman, with the exception of "Tears on My Pillow". It has been noted that the album is very similar to Minogue's debut album, Kylie.
Well this is probably my least favorite Kylie album. I would say it hasn't aged well as her other albums but it has some bops like every Kylie album!
One of the few ones here I had never even heard of before! I'm listening to "Blue Thunder" right now though and it's pretty good though, maybe I'll check it out.
Should be way higher but yay Eizen
