I edited the post before. I hope I wasn't too harsh...
BTW, I said I was gonna upload this later. It's later...
Wavelength
First Verse:
At first, was kinda skeptical, was no protocol to get to you
But from what past experiences told, there’s no need for me to be so cruel
You may be broken, but I’m broken, too
You may take time, but I will be your glue
We’ll fix each other through the shatter of the matter, doesn’t matter if the chatter knows what we’ve gone through
Pre-Chorus:
I’ve seen first-hand what heartbreak does to someone’s self-esteem
What used to be a star is now a hole that’s lost it’s gleam
But if we carry on like this, there is no hope for love
Let’s show them all exactly what it is they’re thinking of
Chorus:
I’ll be your strength, you’ll be my shelter
On this wavelength, we’ll be forever
I’ll be your hope, and you’ll be my dream
Shining bright like a beam of light
(I’ll be your strength... on this wavelength...)
Second Verse:
Through the madness of a broken heart, we made it this far, there’s no turning back
Though we are afraid to fall in love, for the risk we’ll have a heart attack
We have to make it seem so effortless
A healing process started with a kiss
If we are showing overflowing, we’ll keep growing, here’s to hoping under pressure that it doesn’t crack
Pre-Chorus:
I’ve seen first-hand what heartbreak does to someone’s self-esteem
What used to be a star is now a hole that’s lost it’s gleam
But if we carry on like this, there is no hope for love
Let’s show them all exactly what it is they’re thinking of

On this wavelength, we’ll be forever
I’ll be your hope, and you’ll be my dream
Shining bright like a beam of light
(I’ll be your strength... on this wavelength...)
Bridge:
I’ll be your strength, be your heart, be your treasure
You’ll be my wish, be my dreams, my forever
Chorus:
I’ll be your strength, you’ll be my shelter
On this wavelength, we’ll be forever
I’ll be your hope, and you’ll be my dream

I really like this!
I love the concept and I think it's delivered really well.
How long do you usually spend on your beats?
Thank you!
It usually takes me weeks when I don't know a concept I'm going for. Minimum is one week (this beat), but it's usually only two weeks of off-and-on working.
Guys I've been writing slow & depressing mid-tempos/down-tempos that I forgot how to write an upbeat pop song!!!!
I can't find be inspired by anything!!!!
Here's another depressing ballad. I wrote this song in January and nobody has seen it because it's way too damn personal but now I think I should just post it here because I want your feedback guys
26th
26th
Cold sweat, blood, and tears
Let you hang me from my fears
I heard it from your friend
The truth that put my heart up for rent
Everything was unclear
My vision got foggy, and I couldn’t hear
My brain began to shut down
You didn’t mean break me, it was bound
I still imagine our days, what would they look like?
People say it’s just a phase, but I’m willing to fight
I still imagine our nights, what would they be like?
I say it’s not the same, and I’ll never be alright
And it all went down on the 26th
The day everything stood still
November left a scar so big
But the crime didn’t even fit
And it all went down on the 26th
Love was a side effect of a pill
Felt like it was all rigged
And it’s time for me to jump ship
Ran away to place to be alone
My smile faded, it was gone
I don’t think I will love again
Shattered pieces, nothing anymore to defend
Life was a cruel bully to me
Pushed me around, didn’t let me be
And this was the last thing that I need
Cupid thinkin’ “he’s a good target for me”
I still imagine our laughs, what would they sound like?
But I know I’m stuck, thinking why oh why
I still imagine our cries, what would they sound like?
For each other I thought we were willing to die
And it all went down on the 26th
The day everything stood still
November left a scar so big
But the crime didn’t even fit
And it all went down on the 26th
Love was a side effect of a pill
Felt like it was all rigged
And it’s time for me to jump ship
Baby it was all my creation
But it was planned for destruction
And the guilt starts to eat you up
Looking for a decision
It was all alienation
Like a big storm in a teacup
And it all went down on the 26th
The day everything stood still
November left a scar so big
But the crime didn’t even fit
And it all went down on the 26th
Love was a side effect of a pill

Do you sing? I really want to hear the melody, the lyrics are beautiful

I like to sing but when i'm all alone. I'm not much of a singer either.
I think I sing okay but no one's really ever heard me sing before.
Thank you for your feedback
The titles sound amazing!!! Sunkissed & Bulletproof are my favorite
That chorus looks good too (don't know why I sang it to Standing on the Sun )
I do too And if I do get this released eventually, I'm going for the unconventional method of knowing what I want on the EP before I record this.
These songs will be perfect, and "Finish Line" will be perfect for when I'm leaving in Year 11 next year. It could be a memorable tune. There is a contrast as A Distant Memory is about not wanting to grow up and say goodbye, but Finish Line is about having to accept your saying goodbye and that one chapter is over.

Also Sunkissed is inspired by Standing on the Sun - but will be different
