I've given up on Britney making a Ray of Light/Stripped album. The kind of introspective, deeply personal album that exposes the pain, sorrow and emotional hardship she's experienced over the years. But one that also shows how far she's come and how happy she is with her life now.

I'm fine with a good dance record but it needs to be true to form and have some depth as well.

Um, I wouldn't say she can't make a Ray of light/stripped album.

Look at it this way: She is in her 30s. FF proved she can put out basic pop dance songs and be successful; however, if she wants to evolve in her career she can't depend on that.
Wii i am has a direction to go more in depth but we all know it won't be on one extreme.
Therefore, this 8th album era probably about taking control will get her feet wet in exploring more sounds that are relatable and introspective.

Then when she leaves RCA to go to Interscope or wherever Barry Weiss is. He is trying to get her over there because he knows how to deal with her best then they will use the 8th album's success as a vehicle to show that the public wants this side. She will then have more freedom to go to the next level.

Now this Ray of light/ I don't know why you used Stripped/Janet/Velvet Rope/depending on if she is free from conservatorship, married and expanding her family that will inspire her even more.

She basically is going to serve Fergie commercialized yet with some depth this era and then in her next eras if this works out expand on it and we WILL get her Ray of light/Velvet rope type album.

8th album-Urban pop sounds/Relatable, dance mixed with some Glamorous/Big girls don't cry/Don't lie and Shadow/I run away/When I found you/State of grace/Unusual you type songs.

9th (2015/6) or 10th (2017/8) album (if she is free from conservatorship, planning to get married and expand her family)
her Ray of Light/Velvet Rope/Janet breakthrough album.

stop it with that "Stripped" sh*t .... "Stripped" was a panned album by music critics, it received terribe proffesional reviews, and it lacks a lot of originality.

And I think it was confirmed already that Britney is not going to release another dance record about clubs for her 8th album

Britney is just starting her 30s, let her be natural .... Madonna didn't release her first instrospective album until she was nearly at her 40s.

Xtina just got rushed and forced releasing "Stripped" and "Back to basics" when she was so young, that now her career is over because she already gave and said everything she had.

Britney was a transition album with growing pains and a little teen angst pre-rebellion flairs.
I guess Stripped did rip some of it from Britney and Pink's Missundastood.
Clearly the video for Dirrty was a poor man's I'm a slave for you. Try too hard without the charisma of I'm a slave for you.
I guess can't hold us down draws from Let me be/lonely/overprotected. I can take more similarities from pink though with don't let me get my/family portrait/respect/misery etc.

Looking at metacritic it's a shame that someone with such a huge voice has such a low score critically. SMH. Britney really had it easy going up against certain pop stars. LOL at me thinking that certain pop stars were giving her a run for her money back in 1999/2000. I was so wrong...

The same way Dirrty was for Slave for you...duplicating efforts doesn't always make it better. It makes it a try hard attempt that is done poorly and translates into sleazy and not sexy and sly.

YASS at people giving Britney the credit it deserves. It so personified the transition/teen angst growing pain phase and exploration phase prior to her full on college experimental phase in In the zone.

Musically there wasn't inspiration, both albums are different (musically) to be honest.

But image-wise there was certain inspiration, when Britney released "Britney" she had a departure from her bubblegum sound, and started to be sexy and released "Slave" , etc . . . So Xtina as usual came second with an over the top forced sexualized image in "Dirrty" to compete with that time's Britney, and also trying to make look herself like "I'm riskier than Britney", "I'm dirtier than Britney", "I go farther than Britney". . . she was so childish back then

and the album is a mess, it sounds like an early Mariah Carey on crack with a rip off "M!ssundaztood's P!nk" sound , a f*cking mess, I totally understand why "Britney" sold more than that mess.

.. and then Britney released her flawless "In the zone" which was a truly forward thinking , creative, innovative album
