I'm gonna play Devil's Advocate here for a second.
Maybe they feel they don't need to focus on the album right now. I remember Demi gave an interview recently when she stated that she's focused more on single sales. It's pretty obvious that she and her team are focused primarily on getting her radio hits which is why the majority of her promo has been radio based, and why she's doing so many radio concert shows this summer. I personally don't 100% agree with their strategy, but I doubt they're giong to change it, and i don't think it's as bad as some of you are making it out to be.
You really can't compare what her team is doing now with Heart Attack to what was done with Skyscraper. For one, "Heart Attack" is a much bigger hit and has more longevity. If it was pulling a Skyscraper and in the bottom part of the top100 on itunes right now, I would be furious at them for not moving on, but it's not. It's still selling well in the top 25 and can possibly move up to #4 on pop within the next week, and maybe a little higher within the next few weeks(Skyscraper never even broke the top 30, it made no sense for them to not move on sooner from it).
Secondly, the gap between singles will not be nearly as long. We know that there's already a video shot for MITUSA and there are some appearances already lined up for late June/early July that coincide with the Fourth which will help increase sales. As long as they send MITUSA for adds by the fourth(June 18th would be ideal) and have her perform it at her next promo appearances(MMVAs, GMA, etc) I don't see it having too much of a negative effect on the album, and it can help HA get to 2x platinum sooner. We know she's getting at least 3 or 4 singles from this album so i'm not really worried about its longevity.
