But we knew this already. Plenty of songs have performed on radio in ways that would be deemed unwarranted if iTunes determined airplay performance. And plenty of songs have done extremely well in sales, but radio paid them absolute dust.
Songs with heavy radio support that underperformed digitally:
Let Me Love You - Ne-Yo
Daylight - Maroon 5
Alive - Krewella
These are just 3 examples, but I'm sure I could find more.
