So, I was thinking back to Kelsi Luck briefly, and I found this:

From last week. I guess rumors of her being signed to Katy's label weren't true.

But what gets me is sum1 that told me about her signing w/Katy... they knew the name of Katy's label. Yet thought I was nuts cuz I also knew it... as her family member works at Capitol and got the inside scoop. That's the story anyway... if it's true, I danno. Odd, twisted lie if it is one. Oh well. All in due time, LOL!

No Teen Choice Award noms for Katy this year (unless I missed it)... feels so wrong. But... at least we don't have to vote... nice break. Prepare for the next era voting/requesting/ect!

Hmm. Maybe they're just hiding that Kelsi signed with Katy until she gains some serious traction on her own. The "That's What I Like" video seems way too high budget for her to just be some unsigned artist.

Imagine the bragging rights we'd have if Hudson, Bonnie McKee (just confirmed her lead single will arrive in June), and Kelsi (or whoever Katy signed) all smashed in the second half of 2013. A whole Katy empire dominating pop.

Did the person with connections to Capitol reveal anything else?

I was just thinking the other day that maybe Katy is holding off on releasing new music until it gets closer to the Smurfs 2 premiere. This would allow her multitask by promoting the movie and her music at the same time.

I can't imagine a summer without Katy. I'm holding onto the idea she is releasing music around the time of the Smurfs premiere. Then she can do double promotion. At least I hope.

I don't even want her lead single to arrive soon (it still kinda feels too early?), I just want a track that features her and some info on what direction she's taking with album 3.

^ I agree. Though I suppose I Love It is close to peaking, so if the Icona Pop collab is legit then we might be hearing it soon-ish.

Also, why was E.T. snubbed on the Grammys? It deserved a Best Rap/Sung Collab nom at least. I felt like it belonged in the ROTY category more than Firework too.
