Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull’s ‘Live It Up’: Could it be the song of the summer?
The electro-dance song sounds a lot like another single by the star, also recorded with Pitbull, 2012’s 'Dance Again.'

The randy come-on appears as the key part of Pit’s rap in the new J. Lo single, “Live It Up.”
Too bad it’s the most provocative, not to mention distinctive, part of the song. Otherwise “Live It Up” sounds a lot like another single by the star, also recorded with Pitbull, 2012’s “Dance Again.” Once again, it’s pure Miami electro-dance music, produced by RedOne, though it does vary things slightly with a few stabs at dubstep’s sonic disruptions in the break

Pitbull doesn't shy away from bright colors when it comes to his beach attire.
Otherwise, we get Pit making hoary reference to “Jenny from the block,” and the singer yapping various sexy come-ons. As an added attempt at a hook, Pit inserts the smooching sound of a kiss and the pop of a champagne bottle amid his main f-bomb outburst.
Is that enough to make “Live It Up” the Summer song of 2013? Luckily for Pit and Lo, the bar for such things is low.
