These Paddy Power predictions seem rather... um... "delusional". No way this is selling 5m copies in UK.
They are basing it off Amazon pre-sales? That's not enough. I'll be surprised if it breaks first week records.
Either way, I'm happy for them. Get Lucky is my fave song of the year so far.
Yeah I feel they're really overestimating it. "Get Lucky" is huge, sure, but they have done zero promotion in the UK apart from a BBC Radio One interview, and I know we live in the digital age where promo in one country like the SNL ads can be viewed in the whole world, but still, televised promotion is what has been driving massive sales lately in the UK (Adele blew up because of BRITs, Rihanna blew up with Loud because of X Factor, Emeli Sande because of the Olympics, etc). They might do over 200k though which would still be amazing.

The whole point of Daft Punk and this marketing campaign is that they've made this enormous hype and public thirst without the need for conventional TV "promotion." Get Lucky is still #1 by a huge margin in the UK and they just will not drop off the #1 preorders on iTunes.
