Jennifer Love Hewitt needs to be a co-host, not a judge. And that's only if Raven Symone declines the offer.

Diddy needs to replace LA Reid. Ne-Yo is a mess and will only further alienate the white middle-aged housewife audience with her flamboyant nature.

For the girl judge, they need to aim for Pink. If they can't get her, any of Queen Latifah, Kelly Rowland, or Gwen Stefani will do.

Is funny cuz last year there were strong rumors about Britney and Demi joining the panel since months before.

This year there has only been random rumors but nothing confirmed by the usual "sources". We're a week away from finding out who'll be the new judges but I'm hoping well get some confirmation this week. I'm almost sure it'll end up being NeYo and maybe either Kelly or Cheryl. There have been several rumors about Cheryl coming back including the NY post whose owened by some guy from Fox. Simon has been talking about her lately, she's moving to the US with her boyfriend, and just arrived yesterday in LA.

Simon doesn't want big names on the panel

X Factor boss Simon Cowell is reportedly planning a change of tactics when it comes to the new panel this summer.

There’s still no official word on the line up of judges on either the X Factor in the UK or the US, but there’s been plenty of speculation.

Names linked to the UK series have included the likes of Mel B and Sharon Osbourne, while Ne Yo and former X Factor UK judge Kelly Rowland have been tipped to join the American series.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole is rumoured to be in talks to return to both!

But in the latest of what seems like millions of reports about the show over the past month, it’s claimed none of them could actually be in the running.

The New York Daily News says that instead, Simon wants to change the direction of the show by ditching big stars in favour of a better chemistry between the judging line up.

An insider told the newspaper: “Simon delivered a simple message [to producers]: Forget the big names in favor of chemistry.

“He said all these shows have become distracted by signing celebrities rather than judges who really have something to say. We have all seen that big names don’t translate into big ratings. Chemistry is top of the list of demands for next season.”

It’s expected that the US show will confirm its line up at the annual FOX upfront advertiser event on May 13.

I think this is more a lock for Cheryl. I feel like Kelly is more well-known than Cheryl in the United States for sure.

Also... chemistry? That's totally an allusion to Cheryl/Simon's chemistry on XFUK.

I thought it was pretty clear we'll get news on the 13th The only other weird thing is there isnt a lot of speculation about who might judge, dunno if thats a good thing or bad...Britney gave the show a lot of hype last year but that didnt translate into viewing figures.

Last year there were rumors going on for months. We pretty much knew Britney was in the run at least two months before it was official.

There were lots if names in the mix Demi being one of them.

This year we only got Cheryl, Kelly an j. Love. NeYo for the male seat .

Makes me wonder there's no reports about it....and we're 4 days from the announcement.

Assuming it's Simon/Demi/Kelly/Ne-Yo it'll be boring as ****. The first series was boring because there was no one interesting on the panel. Series 2 was good, only because Britney was entertaining.

But I'm here for Mel B for the UK series. Please, good lord.
