At this point I'm fine with will.i.am being the EP of Album 8.
Clearly, Britney feels comfortable with and around him, that can only be good for her and the album itself... She will probably speak more and freely about what she wants... And after 'Femme Fatale' and her ZERO interest on it, I think that's gonna be for the best.
I love the fact that everyone hated that "Will.I.am" is gonna be the Executive producer of the album, I like the fact no one (outside of her fanbase) is expecting anything from this album, the expectations are so low now that Will was confirmed, and thats nice.

This is one of the first Britney producers that seem to want to be a vehicle for her, rather than her for him.
He seems to get what fans want, and what Britney really needs now, an this is the man who wrote and produced Ordinary People and Where Is The Love, so he knows heart.
