In America, yes, it's release on Top 40/M was cancelled last minute.

However it was the 3rd worldwide single too. Unfortunately it also completely flopped in the UK. Rihanna's worst performing single ever here, I think. Other countries flopped too, or had the release canned.

It's a great track, but that sound isn't right for UK audiences. Capital tried it make it happen, but no.
