Boy VVV is better than Starships. Anybody can tell you that. Yes Starships is catchy, but nothing compared to VVV.

I do wonder if TMO would have blocked VVV.

Starships is a classic, so summer time & spring time (which ever) was great periods, due to the lyrics of the song. Starships came out at the right time & even if it was released during the summer, it would've slayed. VVV sounds nothing like Starships, so them both being back to back wouldn't have been too much of an issue.

VVV was created for the sole purpose to be a hit. They saw the success of SB & took the same formula for a fresher new hit with the same vibe. VVV still smashed whether people disagree with me or not, Nicki didn't perform it & didn't give it a push like she did with SB or even Starships. So it didn't do as well as it could have.

So what if it's better? Va Va Voom's hit-factor doesn't even come close to Starships'. Oh and anyone can tell Va Va Voom is better? Not when they haven't even heard it.

VVV was ALL over the radio, so yeah it was heard. It's sales (with a lack luster video, no promotion & no performance), shows that it was heard. With a new video, VVV would've been the perfect lead single. Lets not become delusional here.

Don't underestimate VVV the fact that it peaked "so high" without promo indicates a lot .

Are you calling VVV a flop saying that no one even heard it. It peaked at 70M AI. It is a platinum hit without barely any promo, but a music video. Doesn't it have like 50M views on Youtube???

Everyone praised VVV (critics, fans, haters, etc.). It was going to be the Super Bass of Roman Reloaded. A known fact.

I won't lie, when I found out TMO was going to be on the album, I got so confused.

Back then I was still under the impression that it was going to be all urban, & roman centered. Especially due to SH & RIM having been released. TMO did not fit under any of those & this was before she released Starships. Then when Starships was released I sat puzzled for at least a whole hour, trying to figure out what had just happened.

Why didn't she tell us it would be pop on the album? I hate surprises.
