Umm don't I don't know why the negative opinions but it was really good.
Seems like ever since word got out that V/H/S/2 is "so much better" than the original, people trash it. It's completely worth the watch because there's some amazing storylines in there.

We were talking about The Haunted In Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia So don't worry...I haven't seen V/H/S but I'm sure it's great!
I didn't (and still don't) understand what the Grudge was about
I watched the full thing and I have never been so lost as to what was happening in a movie in my whole life

I only really liked the 1st one. I've seen all of them.

The 1st is a good flick, kind of like Scream.
The 2nd is the best IMO. Brandy is amazing as Karla and it's set in the Bahamas.
3rd. Now that is a complete and utter mess. I only use for Torrey Devitto's performance.
The 1st and 2nd one slays lives. Karla has more lives than a cat in the 2nd.
So don't worry...I haven't seen V/H/S but I'm sure it's great!
