Director of the Smurfs , said it was the perfect smurf party-song , sounds like its going to be child oriented and fun song.

radio! that's the problem. 2 songs by one artist can't smash at the same time on the radio since the radio plays only one song of an artist in one hour (I've explained pretty complicated, hope you got it) Releasing the lead in october would have make no sense.
