Why am I starting to think the there will be no single and just an album stuff is true? I called you guys crazy but she did say the album was coming April. She may perform all the songs on the tour. She's probably saying you should buy all the songs and not just one single. Am I reaching?
No, but if she were to release it April, she would've announced it already.
One thing the Single Ladies video never gets credit for is how risky it is. People (on this site) find it easy to dismiss the song as a hit because it was mostly based on the popularity of the video, but they fail to give credit to the video and never talk about how risky it was to have released that for your first single [one of]. To have a video shot in one "take", to have it be black and white with no costume changes or set pieces, and to only use 2 dancers to me is incredibly out there for a pop video. Not to mention that it only serves to highlight the song itself, instead of hiding it behind glitz and glamour and the appeal of visuals. At the time I remember so many people saying things like "That's it?" and calling it the worst video ever and even I wanted more from it. But the risk pulled off because it was such a strong video. The amazing thing about its success is that no one could have predicted it either. To look at it at the time you wouldn't think it would be one of the most watched and mimicked videos. Truly a Thriller sized video of our generation without the need for cinematic appeal. Just straight up, pure, raw talent.

Amazing post. I don't get why people discredit the success because of the video. This wasn't a novelty hit, Novelty songs don't win 3 Grammys.
If the album were to be released before a lead single the single would just flop right off the charts in my humble opinion. I do believe most of the album will be released on tour starting on the 15th. I don't think she'll change the set list once the album has been released. I wish people would just be patient and wait for her to reveal it how she wishes. Nothings perfect but it's worth it after fighting through your tears and finally she'll put us first
