I read this on Tumblr
Quote:
My stance on Gaga and the way some “fans” have been treating her
I want you to look at these new pictures of Gaga. Is she smiling in the pictures? Does she look happy in them? I didn’t think so. Do you wanna know why? Because she isn’t happy. She’s ****ing devastated, disappointed. She’s disappointed in herself. Music and performing are the most important things to Gaga. Writing music that will mean something to us, going out there and giving us a show and that will change our lives and will be something we’ll never forget. That is what she loves the most, which is why even though she was in pain, even though she most likely knew something was wrong with her hip, she continued on. She carried on performing until it was too much for her. Until she fell down on that stage in screaming in ****ing agony because she couldn’t take it anymore. She didn’t ask for this. She didn’t intend for it to happen. But it did. And it happened while she was trying to give us something that makes us as happy as it makes her. This tour meant everything to her, because we mean everything to her. She didn’t wanna have to stop performing, which is why she carried on when she knew that she shouldn’t have. She didn’t want to cancel. She has had to have a surgery, has to constantly rest, and has to do physical therapy now, until she is able to be entirely back on her feet. It’s hard for her to even bring herself to tweet because she’s afraid of seeing all of the people she feels she has let down. And all some people care about is the fact that we don’t have any new music, and that she is taking a break. And it is some of the most ungrateful, impatient, pathetic **** I have ever seen in my entire life. Writing, recording, perfecting a song does not take a ****ing day. And an album doesn’t, especially. She is one person, she can’t and doesn’t do it all by herself. Gaga’s last era was easily her toughest so far, and she knew it would be. She wrote that album entirely as herself, without a facade or a **** to give because she knew the people who really understood her would be the ones to stay, and to truly appreciate it. She has dealt with so much from critics and from the media, and always was able to stand on her feet. She is attempting to give us the best album of our lives, while with an injury, and a broken ****ing heart because she feels that she let us down (and on top of that, her grandfather just passed away). You can see it on her face. She is ****ing miserable right now. And people are choosing now to bail on her and to yell and scream at her when all she wants is people to stand by her side. I think some of you forget that you’re not her only ****ing fans. She has millions of fans all across the world. There will be other tours. You will have your chance to meet her when the time comes. But the fact that you’re giving up on her when she needs us the most, when she has always been there for us, is utterly despicable. Gaga has always been one to stand up for herself and what she believes in, but right now, she needs to know that it’s okay, that we still love and care for her and will stand by her no matter what. She knows how much her music and her performance means to us. It means so much more to her. She has never had a break, she has never had time off, she has never been away from us for this long. Hell, she has been on stage dehydrated and passing out before, because she didn’t want to leave us or let us down. It is killing her far more than it is killing us. If she is not ready to release new music, than she isn’t ready. If you’re going to give up on her and toss her CDs in the trash and log on to your blog and complain about how she’s such a flop and you’re so over her, because you’re an impatient prick, then be my guest. Don’t come ****ing running back to her when she gives you the album of your ****ing life and you were too selfish to be there for her when she needed us to just understand, to understand this doesn’t heal in a day but to also understand she will be back, better and stronger than ever, but not today. She is worth the wait. Maybe not for you. But she is for me. I will wait however long I have to, to have her back, to see her smiling, to hear her voice, to see her dance and perform and to have new music and videos and outfits and wigs and shoes and to just have her. Just because she has been in a wheelchair doesn’t mean she’s not able to record music, after all. But I have said it a million times since all of this happened, and I will say it again. I choose a healthy, happy, fierce, smiling, slaying-the-entire-world Gaga over one that will be unable to perform again because of something that happened while she was trying to give us everything she had. So before you type into twitter @ladygaga about how she’s so boring and is taking too long and you’re over her, think about all she has done for us, and all she is continuing to do, even in the state she is in, and decide which one you’d rather have.
