i dont want to argue with experts like Duca but 15 millions isnt it too much ? i mean how hold it against me sold 1,5 million outside the usa if it plummeted in every other country ?? i think hold it sold around 2-2,5 the most ...
"HIAM" is definately close to the 3M mark
Some people forget on their estimations the great sales all the singles had in South Korea, where "I wanna go" for example moved 600K. Also "Hold it against me" was one of the few Britney Spears top 10 singles in Japan. and its sales in the US are closer to 1,6M than 1,5M actually.
I think the "Femme Fatale" era sold 12M records WW.
Femme fatale era
Femme Fatale 1,7M WW
Hold it against me 2,8M WW
Till the world ends 4M WW
I wanna go 2,6M WW
Criminal 0,7M WW
11,800,000 .... the DVD should elevate sales to the 12M mark
and for Circus I estimate 19M or 20M records WW
Circus era:
Circus 3,8M WW
Womanizer 6,5M WW
Circus 6,2M WW
If u seek amy 2M WW
Radar 0,8M WW
I still can't believe that Circus sold 5,5 million copies in 2009 (IFPI). It was released in 2008, flopped outside the US and wasn't even that successful in America. Even if Circus sold 2,5 million copies in the US in 2009 ( that is kind of inflated) where the other sales come from... China? It's not reliable at all.

I think she had lot of smaller sales but in a lot of countries - it was a moderate hit on a global level, and that adds up everywhere. Plus, I've heard that IFPI potentially takes things like ring tones into account, and not every country has charts or certifications for those.

IFPI doesn't just count downloads. Ringtones, videos, etc.

all the IFPI sales include ringtones, and music videos as well , not only singles. But those are records sales and its valid to count them , there are some countries where ringtones are huge, and in most charts ringtones doesn't count for official charts, w
Besides there's no point on discussing it sales, IFPI is the only reliable source in the world for sales and they already reported the sales.

It went Gold (100,000 copies) in Germany for example after a few months by only reaching #9. It's not common to go Gold here and even JT seems to be far away from that with 20/20. It was shipped about 200,000 times in Australia and even 250,000 times in Canada so I don't think it was that local.
She caught the right time to release, only the chart positions barely agreed to the success. Now it looks like FF was the bigger commercial era although it wasn't at all.

This is probably my favorite 'Hold It Against Me' performance:
She looked hot and didn't **** up the footwork much.
I was there!
I loved the curls on her because it reminded me of her look for the My Prerogative MV.
And, yes, she did a great job!

I don't have specific #'s but I guess we can break it down:
Circus (album): 4.5M.
Womanizer: 7M.
Circus: 6.5M (according to Retro).
Amy: I guess we could say 2M.
Radar: 1M.
TOTAL: 21. 5M. We could round of to 22M for the sake of it.

South Korea stans pretty hard for Britney so they make up a HUGE portion of her WW sales. Unfortunately, we did not have their support for S&S.
Lace and God is an underrated bop, same goes for SIWAK.
And let's not forget about her epic lap-dance at her tour. I was so slayed by this performance, I wish I would've been one of those lucky guys:
OMG. I loved that performance. I didn't like the song up until I saw it live. Now I bop to it all the time.
