Then again, being the first single was Born This Way's only chance to become a 9 million seller, it would be interesting to see how it would perform as the second or third single, but it all comes down to possibilities. So making speculations at this point can only get me so far.. Anyway, I am quite content with the era as it was.

It was too good to not be a single.

I shouldn't have said "flop", I'd expect a moderate hit from it with a better set up. That's passable for a 5th single IMO.

I think it was better for Scheisse to remain an underground fan favorite. When Born This Way was out people were ranting on about how Marry The Night is Jesus and after it flopped the same Nicoles people paid the song dust. For some reason when a song flops people tend to belittle the song,in a weird way it kinda makes sense.. As I said, everything is about possibilities.. just like ARTPOP

The album was full of underground slayage. It is respected by another chunk of music listeners. I've literally came across fans of random genres (rock, punk, electro) that would say to me "Yeah, I love that song Judas' or Electric Chapel ( ), or Heavy Metal Lover and definitely have heard a lot of praise for Scheisse.. Anyway, amazing album, it is her gem

Scheisse should have been released instead of Judas, they have similar structure anyway. It would have been the best pre-album single ever. Also, MTN should have replaced You&I as 4th single, VMA performance, and it becomes a hit. Then HML as a 5th single or end the era.

I definitely think Judas helped out with her rock/metal (secret) fans. The amount of covers on YT says a lot.

BTW genuinely is a great album. There are too many easily influenced sheep around who simply follow the popular notion that it's poor and was unsuccessful. It's especially hilarious when most of their faves have never delivered a flawless album, and if they have it was years and years ago.

I doubt most of the people saying 21 is better than BTW have even listened to either all the way through.

21 is an amazing album, but nowhere near as unique, edgy and conceptual/thematic as Born This Way. You can easily say that 21 is boring, clings to the same theme, lacks originality and is quite repetitive, whilst the least you can say about Born This Way is that it is not boring.. But, all in all, Born This Way is obviously the better album.

Makes me laugh that BTW (the supposed "flop") was the best-selling album of the year worldwide, in the U.S. and Japan.

Especially when during that year many other pop girls released albums. And that's excluding 21, of course.

On that note, I'd expect something to be released in June if the Summer rumors are true.. I'm really hoping for the lead to be a Madeon or Zedd produced single.. If Clarity smashes like I expect it to, then more than likely I think they'll consider releasing a Zedd single as lead.. It's Interscope for gods sake..

I seriously question the intelligence of the people who parade around regurgitating "BTW was a flop" crap. It's just everywhere and they say it with a straight face.

The album flopped, the singles flopped, the tour flopped, she's fading, everyone hates her now.

When the receipts are pulled out, it's kind of hilarious how far removed these people are from reality. That's what you get when you believe everything you read. Especially if the sources are Gaga haters.

I wonder how surprised a lot of these people would be if all the pop girls receipts were made common knowledge. Rihanna's airplay:sales ratio, Katy's lack of starpower through touring and Google interest, even Adele's single sales compared to Gaga's...namely RITD and BTW.

The kid has been in the business for only 2 years, he lacks of experience, in my opinion.
He can have 1 or 2 bonus songs, but NOT the lead single.
