I'm starting to worry for Nicki. RR sold modestly, but not as well as PF, The Re-Up made no dent on the chart(s), and her judging A.I. is turning out to be a disaster as I'm reading a bunch of comments about her on various blogs/sites. How is she going to rebound?

What do you want her to do, Willy (as a Nicki stan)? I'm personally a fan of Urban Nick rather a Starships but her Pop lean seems to be her only appeal. I can't deal with too much of Pop Nicki.

I mean I'm all for diversity, but I never used just straight Euro Nicki. Songs like Masquerade and VVV are cute though, and I do use them.

I see what's she's currently doing, music-wise though. She's somewhat re-doing what she did in 2010 (obviously not the same, but) and doing all these Urban features to re-build the Urban appeal that she lost during PFRR (which is her own fault).

I'm not going to say it's working, but so far so good when looking at how Freaks and TO are doing on el Urban radio. However, I can't necessarily say she'll ever be the Queen of Urban radio like she was in 2010 or 2011 though.

I don't think she'll ever be straight Urban (album wise) considering even during PF she had that crossover appeal, but I don't necessarily think she'll ever do a PFRR 2.0 again.

I guess in theory, it's thought that if you do R&B music, you're making "real music", but if you create Pop music it's all technology and "fake ****".
