Sis, The only early influence I see from him on her writing is The Diary of Me. And that song is nothing compared to her other unreleased work. Her pop is usually influenced by people like paramour and it generally has a more pop-rock sound to it than the Max Martin songs.
I see the melodic influence in 'Teadrops On My Guitar' and 'Fifteen' and 'You Belong With Me'.

My biggest question is why did she even bother to work with Max Martin when her own remix is clearly superior to the original? I think her and Nathan could have done a good job by themselves. Even if they felt like they needed somebody else why not Zedd for a song like INYWT? I don't think WANEGBT could have been what it is without Martin/Shellback so I'll agree on that. But I feel like 22 and INYWT's production has more potential.

The 'lip service' was actually on Her calling MM as Her songwriting hero though. Not Her fave track.
"Forever 22" will hit Platinum, and then dies. I just have a feeling that they want to move to the next single already. I mean, "Forever 22" is an obvious summer smash, but they released it on spring.
I find it ironic btw that "Begin Again" is already Platinum while "Sparks Fly" still hasn't.
