I really believe that the relationship ended in mid-Fall. I mean even when she was asked about wedding plans in the summer it seemed weird that they were still in the 'early' stages. i think its real because he was one of the first guys Britney hooked up with after her split with that guy she had kids with. I just think Jamie thought it would be a good idea to turn what was a good friendship...I'm sure f buddies every now and again and encourage them to go the distance but Britney got bored.
