You can expect certain things from her, like songs about sex or videos and songs that are every self-referential or about fame, but you can never predict when or how those will pop.

Even as recently as scream and shout she surprised me. Did anyone have any idea that she's be singing with a British accent?

Musically? Depends but mostly no.

But I would say that Britney is one of the most "mysterious" pop girls of today.

- Radio interviews will be limited or non-existent. Djs' will be given a list of questions they can ask.
- Few televised performances.
- She will have dancers and lavish props. Routines will be passable, but nothing standout.

Without sounding delusional, Britney is very much like Madonna. She gets given multiple concepts, idea's, sounds and vibes thrown at her. But at the end of the day, it's ultimately her who chooses the sound and what will be on it.

I'd say a producer recommended everything from urban to pop to dubstep to acoustic. She ultimately chooses the path to go down. Including a dubstep breakdown was actually quite risky because at the time, dubstep was seen as a very distinct sound that people said 'would never happen'.

These are characteristics, not predictions.

Predict those things above, and lets see how 'predictable' she is.

Unpredictable for Britney would be getting up on stage sans dancers and sitting in a chair while giving a live acoustic performance. She's just not THAT girl; she's not the mystery shock factor girl. She will stick to the formula that she's been comfortable with the past few years.
