LMFAO, and people call me negative.

I know it's hard to have faith on Britney sometimes, but like others mentioned, she's already done some interesting stuff after the awful FF promo week - Twister, Fantasy, etc - and it wasn't a mess.

Thing is, I think she was just not pleased with the way the album was handled. I'm not even saying she didn't enjoy the songs or something like that - although it's very possible she didn't - but maybe the timing wasn't the best and Jive forced the whole thing.

I think big part of her laziness is because of the conservatorship. For me it is her way to reveal against it. That **** is the definition of a double-edged sword.

Femme Fatale era, singles charting aside, and 95% of X-Factor just needs to be removed from memory.

I disagree. Despite what many of you believe, X-Factor allowed her to branch out and keep the fans and the media entertained during a break between 2 albums. Not to mention, the success of S&S alone should be one of the most convincing aspects of the X-Factor: people bought her music! Even after people on that show saw her be awkward or boring, they still bought her song, or a song she was featured on. If anything, X-Factor might not have helped her in the long run, but it certainly didn't damage anything.

Nah I don't think thats it. I mean why would her art & fans have to suffer because she is under the conserv.

During the FF era she said she had nothing else to prove. When someone has that mentality they pretty much mean that they already did the best they could.
She doesn't think she has to try hard anymore, because I mean she is "Iconic" after all.

X Factor was a terrible career move.

She looked awful for most of it and was one of the worst judges I've ever seen in my life. I agree with LEM and it definitely damaged her image.

I do agree with Anthony about having faith in Britney though at least when it comes to commercials.

I mean c'mon.

She's not that incompetent. The Twister & Fantasy Twist commercials were both really good and she looked flawless.

Both Circus and FF were rushed efforts (as much as I love them). We all know Circus was done as a way to regain commercial success and revitalize Britney's career and status in the music industry. It was an album that needed to be commercial and she needed to do it quick and efficiently to have it available prior to the end of 2008 to capitalize both on hype and Q4 sales. Femme Fatale was an effort on Jive's part to create an album that they hoped would sell and lessen the blow of financial bankruptcy for them.

This is the one album that isn't under any difficult circumstances, perhaps maybe Vegas, but we don't even know when that is actually going to start. We haven't seen any rumors of Dr. Luke and Max Martin and she has been in the studio probably since summer 2012.
