I saw it and really didn't like it, but then again, I didn't like the first one at all either. I'd say if you were a fan of the first, you'll probably like this one.
I thought it was pretty interesting how they went about everything, it's just that nothing about it really does anything for me.
I watched a film called The Aggression Scale before... it's actually pretty good... to a certain extent... in some way, it's kind of like a horror version of Home Alone... you'll understand if you watch it.

The only thing that really bothered me about that movie was the lazyness of the writing.
The girl should have been nearly 40 years old, not like 19. They show you her as a baby in 1974, but magically only aged 18 years between then and 2012?

I found Rosmary's Baby kinda boring... and as for The Blair Witch Project... I was sat there waiting for something to happen... but it never did I'm one of those people that loves modern things... the more modern the better imo. But I do enjoy a few old films... I enjoyed the original Halloween. Plus with most old films the acting in them seems terrible compared to todays acting and the special effects just don't stand up to most of todays horror films

I haven't seen it yet so I could be wrong but I thought the film was supposed to take place before 2012...?? The trailer makes it seem as though it's set sometime in the 70's or 80's... I thought it was supposed to be a direct sequel to the original 1st one

The very beginning of the movie takes place immediatly after the original one ends. (Which is where you see her as a baby.) The later half takes place in 2012. (I remember seeing a date in 2012.)
