I could see her making the Country switch in five years or so after she has settled down as had a kid. It's easier to be a success with limited travel/at an older age in country than in pop anyways.
Pretty much my reasoning behind why she'd go full country. Maybe not now but it will happen when she's older.
I read last 5 pages carefully and I have to ask: is there a reliable source she is opening for anyone? Did she said it? If she's opening why would she wait 10 YEARS to open for M5? How long does the band exist?

The source is crashpixie who's on the Kce & goes to literally EVERY show kc plays in America (l believe she flew to London too ) she's met her a ton & always video'd the fan requests when no-one else could. for a stan I'd say she's as reliable as they come ...

While Kelly sold 12million albums in the states and has 11 top 10 hits. I refuse to believe she's opening, I think she meant she is co-headlining just like she did with the Fray. Some nights she's going to open for Maroon 5 and some nights Maroon 5 is going to open for Kelly.
Also Neon trees & Owl City are already opening acts for Maroon 5's North America tour (with some European dates) from March until mid of July. I doubt they would start touring again in August.
