I've accepted the fact none of their singles, unless it's the lead, will be that successful. I'm happy with the album sales.

There is no way their album sales will be sustainable without radio support.

Hopefully they put some radio friendly songs on the next album. They can't stick with the same formula forever.

It's nothing to do with their songs not being radio friendly. Nearly all songs on both albums could be radio smashes. It's the fact it's "One Direction" no one is really here for it.

I disagree.

From the first day I listened to the album (while I loved it) I really saw no hits on it. I had HOPES that it would prove me wrong or they would have some moderate hits..... but it was not to be I suppose.

I think Rock Me could be a good sized hit. It's a fan favorite and it already debuted on the BB hot 100 (#98), I believe it's the highest selling album track from TMH. It should be a summer single, if it's not they're really wasting an opportunity there. It's definitely better then Live While We're Young and Little Things anyways, I don't know what they were thinking releasing those as the first two singles

They'll forever live in light of What Makes You Beautiful. That's why One Thing didn't do well. They'll always get the radio support from the lead single.

Anyway, the US doesn't need to be their target market, that's why I don't really care. It isn't anyway. The Take Me Home era has been a bigger era in the UK. They've got the right people behind them here.

Didn't Justin Bieber suffer from not enough radio exposure during My Worlds? I think there's a stigma surrounding a teen sensation.

They embraced him more when he released electropop songs, although his sales declined since then. I'm not sure what should 1D do.

I've never bothered to follow Justin's career, so I don't really know. However, I don't want them to change their sound just for US radio.
