Hmm I don't think it would really matter financially if they broke up in 2 years. They made around $33 million USD last year each. They'll make even more this year thanks to TMH, the tour and the movie. They're gonna have net worths of around $70-$80 million USD by the end of this year alone Figure that they're probably going to make around the same next year and they're set for life.

They won't make nearly that because of the way the contract is structured. Their deal withholds most of the cash until they fullfill the contract.

However, you have to keep in mind that they usually measure these things by increases in "net worth" which measures brand value as well (which goes away if they break up). There is no way they have access to that amount of cash.

I'm on my mobile right now so I can't find the article but I remember reading articles saying they placed second on a list of earnings through 2012 in the UK. Simon was first with a crazy amount and then 1D was second with 20 million pounds each. SuBo was third. A pound is about 1.5 USD
