Did we ever find out if the fans *really* picked E.T. as the 4th single? I seem to remember Katy asking what the single should be on Twitter, followed by a mess of replies before Katy went "Aha... I see we're on the same page... "
I remember fearing Peacock becoming the single for about a month afterward since that was definitely top 2, along with E.T., by Twitter replies.

The real battle for 4th single was between Peacock and E.T, and I'm sure Peacock won. BUT, E.T. was such a safer choice. Peacock had it's hype, but rumor has it Capitol was afraid radios wouldn't play it.

Don't we know that it was Katy's choice and she "fought" against her team (that wanted LFN instead)?
I'm sure that Peacock won, twitter cats are a mess.
