I would like to invite all of my fans to come and sing along to your favorite songs in my Mini tour. In order to enter the venue you will need to show proof of purchase of my album "No-D" and singles "All Alone " and "Lost in Love" or bring your copy along to enter. Before each concert Taylor Swift will be doing a meet and greet and also sign her album to the first 1000 people who purchased the album at the Participating Best Buy.
Katy Perry is dropping her debut self-titled album today! After a last minute change, what was set to be "Take On The Night" is now "Katy Perry", a 15-track album full of pop and dance music, with a couple of emotional ballads thrown in.
This album is a labor of love, passion, and hard work. Katy worked with some of the best producers in the industry to make sure the sound of the album was just right for her fans. Two singles from the album, "C.O.A. (Center of Attention)" and "Girls Night Out" are dominating the charts, holding two positions in the top five on the singles chart.
Included on the album are three major collaborations. Ke$ha, Jessie J, and Beyonce were the first and only artists we reached out to, and are absolutely thrilled that they are a part of this amazing album.

Mariah's debut has set a busy weekend for her, and just before her Album Party she's dedicating a signing to all fans in L.A./Beverly Hills area for her album signing. The Target is PACKED, and there's literally over 1,000 people in line sources say. The CD aisle at the store is not there today, and is stocked with only "Blueprint" albums and there's a section of the store where everyone in line is waiting for "Blueprint". Mariah signs each album every second or so, and will be done in a few hours. Stop buy, and get your Deluxe Target Edition of the album!

Us at Vibe have made sure we picked up our copy of Mariah's "Blueprint" (Standard Edition) for an exclusive first day review. We were impressed by Mariah, and her power love-ballads such as "Love Birds" and her taking it to new levels of R&B with "Royalty" while still keeping a Pop Influence.
"Love Birds" : Her single, her debut, her everything. We here have already loved this track, and continued to bop to the same version on the album. Her belt, and her ending as usual. "And this is why we'll forever be....LOVEEEEE-E-E-E-E-E-E-E BIRDSSSSS-S."
"I'm Mistakin', Your Misplacin'" : A cute R&B bop, I guess. Early 2000's esque, comparable to Maya's "Case of the Ex". It sounds a bit generic to us, and we're not diggin' how Mariah tries to play a different role too much in this. Her regular voice and personality is just fine. This was not justice to her in terms of a "he's my man" song.
"Rise Above" : I love how this took on Pop, but have a strong vocal to it - not a ballad, but more of a Kelly Clarkson song. Well it IS a ballad, and pretty amazing. The fact it's also upbeat, and pours down in your ears. The 14 second note is what makes it, not lying. All around this song wasn't like the last track where I felt more of a - "I'ma sit through this feeling".
"Don't Go Crazy" : I felt this wasn't like IMYM on terms of out of role in a song not going well, but this song was her trying to do a lot. The vocals were just too belchy for a song that's fun and pop-ish, it reminds me of an X-Tina track w/ less excitement. Never the less, it was still interesting.
"XOXO (He Loves You Not)" : This song is a COLLABORATION. It defines it. Britney Spears, reaches her best point in vocals I've ever seen from her to begin with. A collaboration with Mariah can you have you in competition for more than a boy, huh? This was Pop but in a perfect ratchet collab - a pop "The Boy Is Mine".
"If It's Meant To Be" : I am at an obstacle w/ this song. I love her voice, and the R&B in it but just thing for some reason it's not album material. Just in my opinion, her voice isn't at it's A game in it, and sounds like a track you'd hear her post on Soundcloud. It just gives me last-track-thrown-in-before-album-release vibe. I could however see this doing good among just R&B.
"Come To Me (Royalty)" : As you've all heard, this song is just amazing! Beyonce vocals, against Mariah's in a duel of royalty. Adele is the referee with her stunning background vocals, and a cute and simple chorus. This was just everything spelled out to be #1 material, and hopefully it does good next week. Now hearing the song, I'm definitely in a root for it to debut at #1. Mariah and Beyonce hitting notes together at the end is just pure joy, and Adele finishing it off screaming the chorus.
"Make Me Your Queen" : This and "If It's Meant To Be" have too many similarities. These could do well on R&B but are too simple. I feel the lyrics in this song are too mediocre for Mariah, and her collab w/ Bey and Adele has lyrics that tie in together to my ears. She could've done a bit better, but this is a passing for the Urban Listeners.
"Didn't Mean To Turn You On" : #MakeDMTTYOaSingle . The lyrics in this song, her voice, the beat, the rhythm, the everything! This is that one album track that's not a single but everyone knows the song. It's just an uppity Pop and R&B crossover, and I just love how she's able to perfect that in such a good way. That's her quality, these Pop tones can keep the songs like this a hit, while bringing R&B back.
"Looking In" : Mariah touches a deep part of life, and it pays off in this song. The average listener will hear Mariah belt while using this song as a diary. It's a song where you truly feel the tone, and you just listen to the lyrics and feel the passion when she sings. Definitely a deep, deep song meant to be on this album.
"...Sorry?" : Mariah touches deep again, and it goes along well and doesn't seem too similar like her past 2 R&B tracks did. This also sets a tone, but has a steady beat pick up. It's a cute song, and is very radio use to me. She could do something with the single if she chose, and it'd most likely have potential.
