But in the meantime, everyone that is through can relax until next Monday! It's vacation time!
I decided to let you guys take a little break. I can tell some of y'all are struggling and maybe taking a week off will help some of you recuperate. I know what it's like to have writers block and know it's hard to write based on a subject every week.
Every 5 rounds there will be a vacation week. So enjoy not needing to work on a song for a bit!

Idk if I should be happy for getting my first ever perfect score from the judges, or sad because my fave Adam has left.
All I have to say is, I am surprised I got so well received, although I say that every round...that, and I am sorry Adam.

Well posting the Top 3's songs would be a bit tedious considering it's a Top 6 I will post mine since I know some people like to see what others did to get 1st place.

Let me rant.
It just angers me when I look at lyrics and say "This is good" to have week after week two judges tell me "No, it's not." I guess that just means I'm not a good songwriter and have to just stop writing in my style because obviously nobody likes or appreciates all the work I put into each song every week. Every week I watch as lyrics I know for a fact were made in 15 minutes by people who aren't even songwriters get anywhere up to even 3 whole points more than me in their average. I guess that means I don't even have any sort of natural talent.
I was going to call out people and their lyrics one by one in this rant but I won't as I have to leave soon.
All I will say is yes, I am angry, yes, I and pissed and yes, I am "pressed". But I think for once, for once I have the right to be. I've wanted to quit since the second or third week anyways. It's no fun to pour your blood, sweat and tears into a song just to have it rejected again. and again. and again.
So goodbye. No use in mourning or telling me I "really do have talent". If you think that you could've said it before I was gone.

Gosh, I don't even know what to say anymore. I feel very bad that we lost an active competitor, but I'm also upset that it's Adam and he's not taking it well...
I mean, when I say "I'm sorry to see you go," I truly mean it! I don't want to see songwriters I respect and who respect me lose, especially so close...
Adam, you probably won't see this again, but you are so talented! What some one says about your skills is only a fraction of what you need to hear, the bigger piece is what you say and feel about your skills!
Adam, please don't forget what makes you a great songwriter!

Adam I'm sorry you're so down. But really, your talent is your talent and no one should allow you to take that down. As you are talented. All I can say is I'm sorry and this should be a learning curve. You should defos come back for season 3.

I've been telling you you've had talent all this time. You obviously made it this far for a reason.
This is like going on American Idol and making it to the Top 7 and always getting lukewarm reviews and then you complaining once you get sent home. I think this was only your second time in the bottom 3.
If you don't improve what we have told you needs to be improved, you will be going home. If you don't try to expand your horizons, you are just giving yourself an expiration date.
And different =/= better.

I'm oh-so sorry if you think this is me having a big head and telling the judges that they're wrong. I'm also sorry I didn't improve on what you asked, but thanks for the ultra-surplus tips on how to. I'm saying when I submitted these songs I was proud of them but now I see that I should be less proud. I'm not saying I had the best lyrics in the competition and set myself apart and deserved to win or any of that bullcrap because that would be a lie.
Only my second time in the bottom three, but I had one of the lowest averages on the season.
If you think my reviews have been lukewarm then you obviously just haven't been paying as close attention to my comments as I have, which normally seems like a given that the contestant would know their rates and comments the best but you seem to think that you know it better than I do.
I only made it to the halfway point and for someone who is as devoted to songwriting as I am (which is about I'd say a bit more than half the people left) then yes, this is disappointing.

Nait, it would be extremely unnecessary to feel bad in the slightest. It's not your fault my lyrics weren't up to par. I just needed to get some emotions out.

Adam, I know how you are feeling.
I started writing since a very young age, and believe me, I sucked so much. But writing was
a way for me to express myself - it was a solace. It doesn't mean I should have stopped
writing just because I received negative criticism. It took me years to better myself, and
still today, I am not perfect at writing, but I have improved a lot since I first started. You
are still young, and writing is your passion. You shall not be discouraged by negative
criticism. Instead, you should let it help you. No writings are bad ~ because they
are words of expression and freedom. When you get low scores, that doesn't
mean that you should change what you do, it's just a way to let you know that
what you express in terms of Words may not be that appealing to the outer
world. You should find a balance to both write personal things + things
that the world would relate to. My works have been rejected many
times before as well, but it's also what motivated me to challenge
myself and be better than how I was. It took me a lot of time to
realise that a writer should not write only for himself, but for
the readers as well. I have been honestly sad seeing
people leave since the first round because I always
hate it when people are left in that 'maybe I'm not
good' state. But I know you are good at writing.
So I hope you believe in your works, and I wish
you good luck, and keep writing ~ always. I
