Britney will become a hasbeen the day she stops having hits.
So enjoy those Vegas shows, don't worry about it, and I have a feeling this shows will have a stunning production
Which will be when SHE decides to retire.

The GP has shown some serious support for the Vegas residency and that's all I really care about. If her fans abandon her (not all fans obviously, but some are REALLY not here for it), but the GP cares, it'll be fine. I mean, just look at S&S. No fan really supported it and sales weren't even front loaded like they would generally be for a typical Britney single and it ends up doing amazing. Just to put it all in perspective.
What i love is that they are not spinning as hasbeensville because she has proven to consistently have hits. The understand that even though xfactor didn't have huge ratings it would have been 10x worse without her buzz.

Well, she is 30+ and alot of people were her age or a few years under like me grew up with her. I think that if she finds the balance between making hit songs that appeal to not only high school and college kids but mid twenties to early 30s then she can regain some fair weather fans.
The only way she will regain fairweathers if she promotes more and progresses with a more mature sound.

I completely agree.
I hate how Britney is such a ***** that she has put 'Boys' on every single tour since she released the song - leaving some of her actual good and classic tunes out - but the FF version of the song and the performance itself are pretty amazing.
I mean some of her biggest hits are song she doesn't use on PURPOSE. I.E. Oops...Stronger, Crazy because she doesn't want to be associated with her first two albums so much. 1st album she had no control as she was new. 2nd album just fell into her lap as she stated and she didn't have time to think about it. That said, she can't deny Baby but the others she will deny. It wasn't until her 3rd album where she actually started becoming proud of the album.

I didn't have an issue with the Vegas thing at all (I kinda was for it) until Planet Hollywood happened, lol. I wish they would've just negotiated for Ceasers because it has a lot of prestige and true icons have headlined. Regardless, I STILL think Vegas is better than another tour. It's so blatantly obviously that a tour would flop (like really flop) at this point if she doesn't wait to build up some demand - that is one of the primary reasons for The Circus' massive success. Vegas will get her the money her team so obviously desires while allowing her to lead a stable, non-hectic life. & when she's done in a few years, she can do a worldwide tour for album #9.
She's so lucky some of her fans were willing to pay those outrageous prices for the FFT b/c the grosses would've been dismal otherwise, judging by the attendance numbers.
Planet Hollywood is more 20s/30s oriented. She IS hollywood. The good, the bad, the ugly and just like many extremely wealthy hollywood stars that didn't come from wealth and EARNED their money, she has that I'm too rich to care about designer duds and will shop at target image down pact.
SHe needs stability and consistency and if she takes this vegas gig seriously it should light a fire under her behind. Also, I do think that it is best for her to tour EVERY OTHER album.
So album #7, #9 and #11 which will probably be her farewell tour.
Album #8 and #10 will be about more promo
Yeah I paid $600 for front row and backstage tour by Fe and saw Jason Trawick up close and personal. I mean, it's worth it but I understand that many couldn't afford it even if they wanted to. Her prices will get higher and higher but if the demand is there during album #9 then she can gross over 100M this time.

Album sales are a different story. The bitch needs to put work into it to actually scan a million this time around.
Hopefully she can focus on more promo with the Vegas gig + 8th album

Or it needs to be released in September to give it longevity. Look at Mariah's old albums, celine's and recently Katy's and Pink's album runs. They release in August/September and the fanbase alone will make it go gold by September and October. In november, attendance/performance/promotion will boost sales during holiday season then Grammy's and Billboard awards will prolong the era as well. Instead of releasing an album in November without performing a song or attending the Grammy's.
I say May summer smash single
late-Aug 2nd single mid or uptempo to coincide with new album or 1st week of September
3rd single ballad or mid tempo in November/December to coincide with boosting sales and AMA promo a la fireworks and also performed at the grammy's
4th single uptempo in March/April and performed at the Billboard Music Awards.
5th single throw a mid tempo or ballad for the fall to close out the era.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but outside of the last 2 minutes of the Onyx Hotel Toxic performance (the first half of that performance is ridiculous filler)...I have ALWAYS hated Toxic's choreography and performances.
For such a huge song, the performances were always kind of "okay" (NRJ, ABC Special, etc). Not saying they weren't good performances, but just the staging and choreo were always soooo blah

Um, I will say that you when you look at the choreography of the first show it's not mind blowing when people try to trash Circus tour but the theme of the show was amazing.
Toxic on tour was ok. ABC special was ok. I'm sorry but the NRJ toxic performance was her best performance of Toxic to date and in her top 5. Seriously. It was perfect.
Overprotected and boys were a step above basic.
Showdown, BOMT and OIDIA and Crazy were good.
The hook up, Slave, TOuch of my hand, breathe on me, boom boom and even weak Outrageous and Me against the music had amazing choreography.
