I think what she means is that she has no goals or obligations with this record and can just let her creativity do the work, whereas with Born This Way she felt an obligation to her fans and made it for us.

7M by the end of the year? That is, if the era reinvigorates her catalog sales. She's not charting on US iTunes top 400 at all.
I think it'll reach it by then. It's been selling like 7k weekly I think, so it should reach it within a few months of either the lead single's release or the album's release.
