Let's compare their best song that's written solely by each of them.

And??? her writing is still in those songs regardless of who she wrote them with. But if you want writing solely by Adele, I got plenty of songs.
Daydreamer, Best For Last, Crazy For You, First Love, My Same, and Hometown Glory.

Adele's writing and vocal delivery are both much more mature. Taylor's lyrics verge on being childish and her vocals leave a lot to be desired.

For one, Taylor can't sing. Her style of music is local, and she appeals a lot to teenagers/younger listeners, even though she has had her fair share of appeal to the older crowd.
And Taylor ain't that much more critically acclaimed than Adele. She has a bunch of 70 somethings on Metacritic, but that doesn't tell the whole story, especially since 21 has made more year-end lists and 'best of' lists than any of Taylor albums.

imo Hometown Glory is the best out of them and maybe a personal fave from the debut. To be fair, I'll pick something from Speak Now, songs she has written during her "19" as well. I pick Never Grow Up.
Have you heard of it?

just saying that the public's opinion about could still change.. its just the second era!

Yeah it can change. But this is to just say that Adele's next album is not going to be about breakups. Her next album is going to be based off her current happiness with her boyfriend and her baby. And just because Taylor's reputation has recently taken a hit doesn't mean Adele will land in the same boat as Taylor.
Lets also add the fact that Adele likes to shy away from the media mean while Taylor is vice versa.

Taylor's lyrics are childish AND she sung it about 100 different men by now AND she's been stuck with the same theme for 4 albums in a row, which is beyond ridiculous by now.
Not to mention that Adele got a much much much better voice and it's full of soul and emotion, compared to Taylor's thin and kinda annoying voice. And when you add it to those annoying bubblegum pop songs about boys that she's been doing, the results aren't surprising at all.

No I haven't, I'm not into Taylor's music. If people want receipts, here it is. >> http://www.discogs.com/Adele-19/release/2182913

They are both different persons. They may rely on producing music based mostly on the theme of love and their life but at the end of the day their different from each other.
People just like to compare them because they are the most bankable artists right now. We know how fans want their fave to always be on top.

And if Adele is still making albums about losing dick, then critics (professional, media and general public) will drag her, too. 19 and 21 were her only two albums to date, so those are introductions of her, not necessarily whole story. And I don't care what you Taylor fans have to say. Until Taylor makes something as universally appealing as Adele's biggest hits, Taylor will never be it.

Maybe an unsuccessful album will prove to them that she does have a real stanbase that loves her. But it's whatever.

thats what i m just saying .. it CAN change!! like if you compare Taylor's reputation during Fearless era, to Adele's 21 era.. they were both loved for every little thing they did!! Taylor was America's Sweetheart.
and just bcuz Adele found love early in her life, and Taylor is still struggling with it shouldn't affect people's opinion about her. but since both Adele and Taylor are autobiographical writers, they write about their life, so taylor writes about broken heart and mistakes in love, and adele will now write about happiness in love. i bet when Taylor finally finds true love, and has a long happy relationship with a guy, she'll write the most beautiful happy love ballads too!
