After the Grammy domination, the Adele bandwagonning began... a huge proportion of her 'stans' only like her because she's 'undraggable, critically acclaimed, commercially successful and everyone apparently loves her'. I'm not saying I hate her... but I know a lot of people who claim themselves to be stans yet the only songs they know from her are RITD, SLY & SFTTR
Taylor's music is more fresh & appealing to me & mostly the younger audience
Can you name those people please? She only has 5 - 8 real stans here.
I really don't see where's the paradox. Taylor can be seen with a new boyfriend before even finished writing about the one before; she's disingenuous, immature, and also a *****.
Adele's music comes from someone who lost something and is moving on with class, maturity, and grace. Someone who understands that while the person they lost was the love of their life, life moves on and so should she. Adele accepts the heartbreak and the past for what it is and doesn't dwell on it because she knows good things will come her way once again. "Never mind, I'll find someone like you."
Taylor on the other hand, her music comes from a place of insecurity and immaturity. She has this mindset that a boyfriend is the most important thing in life, and that if she doesn't have one, there's no possible way of being happy. When she likes a boy and he doesn't like her back, she gets upset and even often times attacks the girl the boy does like. "She's an actress but she's better known for the things that she does on the mattress." She lives in a fantasy world where the boy you like must like you back, otherwise he's an evil person who deserves verbal bashing. However, I do agree that her music has progressed and she does seem to be growing up, albeit slowly, but she still has a ways to go. She needs to stop playing the victim every time a relationship doesn't work. She needs to look inside herself and ask why the relationships she's been in never work. Maybe she's the problem? Maybe she needs to change something and realize it is not always the man's fault.
At the end of the day, they both pander to a specific audience. Taylor has the emotional teenage girls who are in that "I want a fairy tale romance relationship" phase, while Adele has the older women who find Adele's music as inspiration for moving on from a relationship that meant a lot to them.
I just want to point out that ADELE sings in Don't you Remember about her own mistakes in a relationship.
Well, a BIG girl singing about losing her MAN is going to sit well with other BIG girls who lost their man. You know, unlucky in love and all that
It wouldn't matter if Adele was skinnier than Taylor, it's the voice, the soul, the lyrics, the emotion. Adele grew up, she's an adult, she acts like an adult. She sings about one guy, someone she actually loved, not had a crush on, and had legit heartbreak.
Taylor still sings about her petty problems (all 40 boys she's been with in the past two weeks) like she's 15 years old.
The only thing weight seems to do for her is let people who hate on her success make fun of her, because that's the only thing they can find wrong with her.
if he has even 1/4th of the life he says he does, then he'd have better things to do than this.. listening to taylor swift's songs about guys all day, reading gossips online, and then spending hours making a worthless video with absolutely no meaning!!
and he talks about growing up...
and then you say this has some 'valid' points!!
Yes they write about the same theme, but who is the one pushing out those very pop hits at the moment? Also Adele has a much more matured voice than Taylor which is also another plus. Another reason why Adele has become more likeable than Taylor is the fact that Adele has a broad appeal to everyone. Young, Old, Women and Men likes her. If you look into Adele's albums at the moment her more "immature" song would be Rumour Has It most likely and even then Rumour Has It isn't that bad. I know Taylor Swift has mature songs as well but what matters is what you push out to the public and so far she has pushed out WANEGBT and IKYWT with an impending 22 on the horizon.
I think you can't judge Taylor before listening to her entire disocgraphy
She also admitted her mistakes when she's wrong in BTD, listen to Last Kiss
She got award from Nashville Songwriting Association and Songwriting Hall of Fame
She doesn't only writes about her relationships. The Outside, 22, Tied Together with a smile, long live, and many more
In this case, you all judge Taylor because her life is exposed ( judged, and also re-written )
While we still don't know much about Adele. Are you sure she's not cheating on another boy?
WANEGBT, in my opinion, proves that Taylor can write a song a la female popstar, but State of Grace and Mine proves that she's mature enough to understand what is real love
the fact that taylor has made some pop songs now doesnt affect her lyrical credibility! there's nothing wrong in wanting to make some silly songs for fun.. not everything has to be deep and serious and to please the more mature generation!!
and i will say it again... Adele's 21 was a phase, it was lucky and for one time only!! the same love, the same acclaim is not necessary to follow with the next era.. nobody had a problem with taylor till Fearless either, Adele's still new and no one has a reason to hate her yet.. so she can get away with anything she does.. by the time she reaches her fourth era, and becomes even more successful, she'll face the same hate as taylor now !!
Adele is a better lyricist and vocalist and adults can relate to her lyrics, also the fact that Taylor's love life is always splashed across magazine covers doesn't help.
Taylor Swift remains to be more talented in terms of songwriting on her own and co-producing the songs.
.
That's really the silliest argument you can make. Don't even try.

Maybe it's his job and he gets money from views?

@therealslimshady I would like you to explain how Adele would face the same hate as Taylor at the moment.
when she reaches the same stage in her career at which taylor is now.. 4th era, thats probably like 5 years from now! and depending on what she puts on her future albums and how her personal life goes in the future, anything could happen! for instance, a sextape could be released with her current boyfriend, she may release a pure pop song as the lead single from her next album, her next album might be about love and breakups too, and just about the littlest things could cause the dominos falling.
just saying that the public's opinion about Adele could still change.. its just the second era!
