Wow, I actually love this list so far! I thought it would be just pop girls but the list has some real diversity and some stuff I haven't even heard yet.

I'm a little confused by what "Highest (+19)" means. At first I thought it meant the highest position someone had the song in their countdown, but I don't think that's it.

Highest points the song has earned.
Your #1 position will earn a max. amount of points of 20, #2 position will earn it 19 points and so on until your #20 which would earn it 1 point. I did the point system really simple. I will reveal some more mentions as the list continues too.

Since it's only one song this can be fixed during the next update.

Thank goodness We Found Love and Video Games had shortage in points because the two were very close to making the top 50 and this would've been a mess of a turnout. Sorry about that.

This is actually a very very flawed system.

1 person putting a rubbish song at #1 outweighs 19 people putting a good song as their #20.

And clearly if 19 people thought a song was worth of their Top 20 > 1 person thinking a certain track is #1.

Stuff like this should be done with different numbers used.
I'd use something like this:

#1 = 100 points
#2 = 80 points
#3 = 60 points
#4 = 40 points
#5 = 35 points
#6 = 34 points
#7 = 33 points
.
.
#20 = 20 points

This way the #1 song gets 5x points of song #20 instead of 20x of that, which would eliminate random tracks appearing on the list just because 1 or 2 people put them at #1. Instead lots of tracks that were included by many people would appear since they'll receive a bump in points and on a fair ground.

Pretty sure if you used this kind of system, that song by Example & Calvin Harris wouldn't make the top 50 as well as the Green Day song. Check and see the results for yourself

I gotcha and if I'm hosting this year then I'll consider on changing the system. I kept it simple and similar to the previous year.
Mentions do come into factor, "We'll Be Coming Back" didn't just make the list because of two people. There were over 500 songs submitted and a few only received only one mention based on those who submitted their list.

I will update once I get on the pc, I'm on mobile right now. I expected to update much earlier but that didn't happen.

It's unfortunate that most hip-hop lovers didn't get their ballots in or couldn't come with a general consensus, but there is at least one more "rapper" securing their spot on the countdown.
