First off, world hunger is as an equally, if not even more impossible goal than ending bullying. Guess all those charities better shut down?
And yes, it does seem crazy that Gaga could control the actions of 32 million people. You do realize that most people have things like parents, educators, and other personal relationships that are much more likely to influence how they act than what their favorite singer tells them to do and she has repeatedly told them NOT to engage in bullying, whether it be a celebrity or a person at their school. So obviously if your theory that Gaga can control everything her fans do were true, there wouldn't be any out there making these vile tweets.

No I didn't say that they should shut down. Ending world hunger is a noble cause, just as Anti bullying is. But both are a bit unrealistic when you think about it. But there is still some worth in fighting for the cause. Same thing here. Gaga can't control her fans, and it is unrealistic to think that Gaga tweeting will stop her fans. But it can stop some, and there is some worth in stopping some.
But she doesn't even try.
That is the problem.
The only reason gaga gets flack for her fans is the disconnect between her movement and their actions. Every other pop girl has ****** fans but never gets **** for it because she doesn't tout herself as an activist and include her fans in her movement. Gaga does. That is why people get upset at her.
I do think that Sharon's letter went a bit far in some respects, such as accusing Gaga of using her fans as pawns to attack other artists, but there were some nuggets of truth.
