That's a great way of looking at it. It was only 3 years long and despite the potential with the 3DS around the corner and the great region it was a bit of a waste.

Yassss, HG/SS are definitely better than B/W. I don't really like them mainly because of the fact you can't catch older Pokémon before the Elite 4.

Yeah it was a good idea and it made sense but the Pokemon were so awful that it made it unbearable after a while when I desperately wanted a Poliwhirl or something on my team.
I've heard nothing but good things about it and I've got a bit of Christmas money left over so if I can find it cheap enough I plan to buy it in the next couple of weeks. The fact there's more Pokemon draws me towards it.

I think they should just stop at 1000 or so, I'm assuming we'll have like 780~ this Gen, so they could squeeze like two more out, and then just focus on exploring other parts of the world and all that junk. I mean Pokemon has to end at some point. Its not Mario where they can rehash the same game over and over.

It can go on forever and ever, in aspects OTHER than actual Pokemon design.
What I'd like to see is a Pokemon with some stylistic similarities to the Legend of Zelda games, like being set in a medieval-esque time period.

On the contrary I'd say that the starters were some of the best designs in the entire game. Well at least the Snivy and Oshawott lines anyway. Tepig was always a BIT questionable to me.
