ED SHEERAN
"Drunk"
3 Weeks · Peak @ 15 · Debuted on March 24, 2012
"Keep it between friends, though I know you'll never love me like you used to."
Ed Sheeran had a great 2012 on my list as he managed to have three entries in the Top 100. His second, "Drunk", might be a countdown flop but was able to revive itself during the third quarter of 2012. The sudden appreciation: a brokenhearted friend of mine convinced me to listen to this over and over cause she exactly feels the same way as Ed.

"I Won't Give Up"

"In the end, you're still my friend. At least, we did intend for us to work. We didn't break. We didn't burn."
If I'd pick a male counterpart of "A Thousand Years" as the sincerest song of 2012, Jason takes it easily. I instantly fell in love with this track because of its sweet message, soulful rendition and heartfelt emotions. The only thing I hate about this is that its video was released way too late -- that's why it flopped badly on my charts.

"You Da One"

"You know how to love me hard. I won't lie, I'm falling hard. Yep, I'm falling for ya but there's nothin wrong with that."
Rihanna returns on the list with the not-so-appreciated "You Da One". I admit it took me some time to finally appreciate this track, but when that time came, I truly loved "You Da One" so much. It might not be as epic as "We Found Love" but it is definitely a good follow-up.

"Where Have You Been"
8 Weeks · Peak @ 07 · Debuted on March 5, 2012
"I've been everywhere, man. Looking for someone - someone who can please me, love me all night long."
Rihanna makes a back-to-back appearance with the Calvin Harris produced track "Where Have You Been". Rihanna had an awesome 2011 on my Best Of as she managed to have 3 songs in the Top 20, 2 of which in the Top 10. She might not be able to duplicate this feat this 2012, but she still managed to maintain an impressive standing. Sadly, this is her last appearance.

"What Makes You Beautiful"
"Baby, you light up my world like nobody else."
Karmin might have spent 23 weeks on chart, but the boys stayed on my playlist from October 2011 - January 2012 and June 2012 - present. Just do the math! I'm pretty sure that's longer than Karmin's run.
Love Titanium from the last set, also Safe and Sound is probably the best song Taylor Swift has done to date.
I like the Rihanna songs from this one especially Where Have You Been
