Nobody said having an excellent beat was wrong but when it overshadows your rapping and half of your "stans" have no clue what you're saying that's a problem.
Azealia gets recognition because of her beats. If she were to say **** house & EDM and go straight urban. You can't say half of her "fanbase" would still be here. I'm just LOOK at them most of them in AB threads. "This beats ***** " "I'm too white to be bopping like this ". You never hear them say or quoting any of the lyrics.

Its as dumb as "Gaga wouldn't be famous if she didn't dress wacky or have RedOne" or "Britney wouldn't be famous if she had Max Martin" or "Missy Elliott wouldn't be famous if she didn't have Timbaland." You're all in this hypothetical land of "What if she went straight urban, would she be noticed" instead of focusing on the reality that she IS noticed because she does something UNIQUE and different from other rappers. You can't just sit here and go "Oh, but if you took away the stuff that made her great, she would suck." Like, ****ing duh.

You can't deny that, Jameson. I mean, you even said it yourself. It's FUN. She's not crafting masterpieces at all, just disposable pop/rap tracks that people can bop to. There's nothing wrong with that. Lyrically, she's been stale as **** lately.

I would love to hear Azealia Banks try to rap over a beat like "Werkin Girls" and see how far she goes with it.

Azealia is a smart girl who knows what gets people boppin these days. That's why she's working with these electro producers. Again, there's nothing wrong with that, but if Angel Haze was in the studio with those same producers, her material would be better than AB's. Just listen to Haze's track with Lunice for proof.
