And if there is no Alice in Chains album(at the very least Drirt) on here
I've already put up with only one GNR album but if there is no AIC album I'm heading for the meltdown
I think the reason that BOMT isn't higher on this countdown is that Britney her stans don't generally use older music enough to have voted on this countdown. What do you guys think?
I actually love the album, but more for the nostalgic reasons, I can see why other people find most material on the album ****. Too bad other Britney stans didn't give this a boost, I was ready for the meltdowns if it did end up Top 10.

Hip Hop

The quintessential 90s hip hop album introduced the world to Nas, a New York native with a knack for storytelling and interesting wordplay. Nas manages to find a middle ground between sounding like a hardcore gangster and sounding preachy. He lyrics almost sound objective in the sense that he's not trying to justify anything nor is he attempting to change the listener's mind about anything. He just tells his story the way he sees it. This album's legacy is almost bigger than Nas himself, since EVERY album he's released since has been compared to it and the general consensus has been that NONE of them are better than this album. If that's true, then ultimately that's okay because you could probably count the number of rap albums that have come out since that are superior to Illmatic on one of your hands. Go listen to this album if you haven't already.
