As I said before. No matter what genre you think it sounds like. It'll still be percieved as electro/dance pop. Because Gaga is a pop artist. She is mainstream, I don't even care if we're talking on musical terms, it'll still be classified as such, especially with the way she writes. As Gagasm said, Electropop is essentially EDM, the only thing is that the scene doesn't like to view it as such, because of it's status. And let's not get into how pretentious the actual EDM scene can be.

I'm just trying to say its noting new for Gaga so i'm sure she'll be just fine. Gaga going into a far MORE Electronic direction like RoL, etc could turn out a huge success.

Even though most casual listeners associate all dance music as the same, people can still tell the difference between a slushy dance song made for radio, and and something expertly crafted. People really delving into the DJ scene has increased the awareness.

Zedd is amazing at making EDM music with pop appeal.

All dance music is NOT the same but all dance music is dance music if you know what I mean. You can't say that electro dance isn't electro dance music. That makes no sense. Sure it's watered down a bit here and there for structural purposes but it's still electronic and it's still dance music with pop infused lyrics/melodies.

I think she should NOT try to outgross TMB by adding dates. I want ARTPOP era to start. She should rush the albums while shes still young. Actually Rihanna/her label is so smart with that tactic. I mean look at Britney or Bey, theyre just 30 and already fading.

Yes that is very true. But with the explosion of popularity the EDM genre has had, more people of a general audience are becoming aware of dance music and the different varieties/instructive it has. Like it wasn't ALL that long ago people were calling every song with a synthesizer and a beat "techno" (maybe that was just my friends though?)
