I don't even care about the PF:RR era anymore, because the next era we're transitioning into seems like QUALITY.
I mean, the last two looks we've seen from her have SH*TTED on all of the PF:RR looks (the one last night is my all time favorite), so that shows something. I have a feeling this will be an amazing era, & it's already reminding me of the PF era.
I just feel like her head is in the right place. She knows what she needs to do to gain that respect back from the Urban audience but ALSO keep her mainstream appeal that is getting her endorsements & sponsors. As she said, she wants this album to be an EXPERIENCE. I have high hopes that this will be one of her best pieces of work yet & best era. The fact that she's taking a break from Twitter to work on the album shows A LOT. I just want her to take her time, & she needs to push herself to make sure that every song is perfection.
This era is VERY detrimental to Nicki, & I know she will prove everyone that's doubting her wrong with a flawless album & flawless era.
This is the most insightful thing I've ever seen you say, Henry.
I remember the night Freedom was released & I was so PROUD of her. I was in TEARS.
I SEE the improvement on TRU from PF:RR, & she will continue to improve & master her craft for this next era. I just want her to take her TIME.
Another thing, I don't want her to announce the release date until she's at LEAST 3/4 done recording the album. If she announces a release date before she's gotten a good ways into the recording process, she will feel pressured & start to rush the album.
Nicki just needs to know that she can still have MAJOR success with her singles even if they aren't Red One dance pop.
Amazing music is amazing music, & if it can appeal to Pop audiences AND Hip-Hop audiences why couldn't it smash? When M4L was released it was HUGE on Pop Radio, & it was a monumental moment for Nicki because it was her first single that really broadcasted her talent to a larger scale.
That's why I don't want this album to be like PIO, SF, etc. She needs to make Hip-Hop music, that fans of all genre's can enjoy. I want this album to be like PF where it's a listening experience & captivates the essence of Hip-Hop but has Pop elements.
