He's been awful for a while. The only decent song he's produced in recent memory has been "Hair."

His work with Gaga has always been different from his other work. He seems to make more generic music with others, and I think Gaga's own creative part in their collaborations changes the tracks for the better sonically. It's more noticeable on TFM and BTW, since that's when she gained more creative hold on the production of her songs.

I agree with this, but I'd like a little more input from RedOne to commercialize Gaga's creativity with ARTPOP than was evident on BTW.

We overlook it because we're fans of GAGA, but he's as much a sound thief as whomever produced that SNSD song that took the instrumental from Ratchet. The only reason I'm glad no one called him out on it is because it would have been traced to Gaga being called a plagiarist, which she does not need anymore of that.

She might as well have gotten Timbaland to produce Just Dance, given that it's pretty much "Maneater"'s twin sister, instrumentally.

To be honest, I think "Monster" is perfect example of that and my personal favorite choice for the defining Gaga/RedOne sound. It's commercial, it's fun, it's catchy as hell, and still has a very distinctly Gaga vibe about it. When that wasn't a single I was soo pissed, I still think it would've been the second biggest hit from TFM after "Bad Romance".
