I honestly think if I got studio time with great producers/lyricists that I could make something that sounds good. But I'm not rich/famous
But that's why the internet exists, we're actually lucky to have access to every information we want... Use the internet as a tool to become a good vocalist, a good producer, etc...
I also think people always telling you you're not good enough really hurts your confidence.
To be honest, I was originally wanting to be an artist (like literal paint/picture artist), but then my confidence in that quickly got shut down.
I have received lots of compliments on writing, though. I really like it, and I want to stick with it. I also now have much more self esteem now than I did back when I wanted to be an artist.
Find a rich + desperate old man. You may feel disgusted with yourself for the things you'd do with him, but it's only a few years before he croaks. Make sure he gives you lots of money in his will. You use that money to make a debut album with some hit maker producers. You can smash with a single a-la Tik Tok, then from there you can thrive from your own money.

This was supposed to just be a thread for songwriters, but at the slight mention of Plat Hit everyone bombarded me and Huga with questions about it and when it starts. I decided to make it a combo thread.

A good way to overcome this is:
1. First hum the melody, then sing it with random words. Write down words that flow very easily with the melody and make sense.
2. Make a concept song.
Or at least those are the things I do.
