I agree.
There is a difference between looking back at past accomplishments now and again, to being completely obsessed with things that happened a decade ago. Madonna fans are proud of their past, but they also have plenty of impressive receipts from the modern world.
Britney and Avril stans don't really.

Thank you
But I honestly very rarely see madonna fans bring up like a prayer or ray of light as a way to "prove" just how amazing she is. we just have to mention her current tour (which just finished a few days ago) and that's that.. when it comes to her artistic peek, then yes, we bring up her best albums, but isn't that what every fanbase does? If Madonna were 30 I doubt as many people would have voted for her.
And yes, she'll always be relevant. whether she's trying (being against marine le pen, being a supporter of ***** riot, supporting the gay audience in russia) or whether she didn't try and it happened organically because the media simply is very interested (not liking a flower or asking someone to put off their cigarette, showing a tit, coming on late for her concert) it doesn't matter, because obviously people care and she's very relevant.
If she didnt get attention in the media and has to try hard to get in the papers, and not have the top tour of the year and biggest pre-order for her album in history, then i'd be worried.. and look at her previous successes.
but we simply don't need to do it. because she's successful now.
