The metacritic score is better than I thought it would be. I honestly didn't expect the album to reach over 65 to be honest.



A score of 71 is impressive, considering the kind of artist Ke$ha is.

Cannibal is understandable as why to why it got a higher score. Basically, it's an EP. With a shorter tracklist, there is less room for filler tracks. It really doesn't have any, sans 'C U Next Tuesday' - which some would argue. While Warrior is very consistent, it does have a few tracks that learn towards the more "dud" side in terms of quality. The thing that annoys me the most was the score for Animal. It really is a solid pop record, and should have scored higher than 54.

At least we can say she has improved somewhat since her debut. Moving from the 50s to the 70s is quite a big jump.

Animal was too juvenile for critics. Warrior shows growth and maturity whilst still being Ke$ha pop. 71 in my opinion is too low. At least a 77 shows the quality of the album. The mixed reviews were too close minded. Irked me tbh.

Maybe we should all write strongly worded letters to Metacritic contributors who haven't yet reviewed the album and try to convince them to give it favorable reviews in a bid to increase its overall score.



Also, I feel like part of the reason Animal did so poorly was because no one understood the tongue-in-cheek nature of her persona at the time. I feel as if they took it all at face value and dismissed her as bratty or trashy or what have you without really giving the music itself a proper chance.

The only pop girl of the current generation who surpassed a 77 was Gaga. None of the other girls could do it (I don't think), so for Ke$ha to be scoring anywhere in the 70s is a really solid effort. It indicates that she is keeping up with her fellow contemporaries when it comes to critical reception. She is even doing better than some.

I totally agree. Ke$ha was still too new at the time, and there were so many misconceptions about what kind of person or artist she was. I think the album is quite clever, how it's this autobiographical concept based on the fun, wild and irreverent times she had, as a deprived struggling artist trying to make it in the music industry. People just didn't see her vision for the record. Her image overshadowed that and they just dismissed her as some drunken brat.

I agree. I went to Target and did my grassroots promo I ***** this album on Spotify. My FB friends must get annoyed

The General Public needs to warm up to other music than the electro/dance stuff that is hot, they better start to approciate Ke$ha's duet with Iggy Pop with them raw vocals and interesting lyrics
