J.Lo is bigger than Shakira. J.Lo is a multimedia superstar and is huge all over the world. Shakira is only bigger than J.Lo as a musician, and is only big in Europe and Latin America. But still she isn't the best-selling female Latin artist. Gloria Estefan is.

Como LA Flor and Bidi Bidi Bom Bom (selena's perfumes) were released in 1995. her first fashion show was in 1994. she even did a MINI fashion show on Cristina's show in 1994. so for you to say JLO started all that just shows how ignorant and pathetic all you JLO stans are. also, i went to see Enrique (and unfortunately) JLO's show at the staples center this year. they were selling tickets for $5 and giving a shitload of them away as well! my friends and i were very close to the front to top it off. soooo many empty seats but most of the people who went were only there for Enrique (like my friends and i). she was booed, ignored, and a lot of people got up and left when she came on. so if she's a legend, then some of you have really low expectations.
but i'll agree with the Shakira stans in this, Shakira <<<<<< JLo. fyi Shakira sold out the Honda center in Anaheim in just 1 day while touring BY HERSELF during the Oral Fixation era - no double header tour with Enrique or anyone else. the Honda center is bigger than the staples center. JLO's Honda center show this year gave away tickets like crazy just as the staples center one and had just as many (if not more) empty seats from what i heard (a friend of mine works at the Honda center). that's pretty embarrassing if JLO is supposed to be bigger than Shakira. and the "it was only 1 or 2 shows" excuse doesn't fly, she had Enrique with her and even THAT didn't help. i choose Shakira because she's waaaay more talented and because at least Shakira doesn't use her people to sell. JLo just acts Hispanic when it's convenient, it's soooooo disgusting. as a Hispanic i am insulted by her actions and embarrassed that she is one of our own.
p.s. JLO got her start as a fly girl (back up dancer) in the 90s show In Living Color. Boom Kack (Gaga’s ex choreographer and now choreographer for Nicki Minaj) got her start there as well. I bet NONE of you JLO stans knew that. And you call yourselves stans LMAO!!!
